CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwire - 04/12/10) - The American College of Education (http://www.ace.edu), a leader in providing educators with online master's degrees in education, applauds the call for an increased focus on online learning in the Department of Education's National Educational Technology Plan 2010. "Transforming American Education: Learning Powered by Technology," http://www.ed.gov/sites/default/files/NETP-2010-final-report.pdf, a more than 100 page report released by the U.S. Department of Education's Office of Educational Technology in April, targets the need for colleges of education to train teachers how to effectively use technology in the classroom.
