According to the university rankings, graduate students should expect to pay as little as $8,234 or as much as $119,300 for an AACSB-accredited graduate degree in business administration (MBA). Average cost: $32,926. Southeast Missouri State University ranked as the number one Best Buy Online MBA. SEMO, a public institution, charges $8,234 for a distance MBA degree for Missouri residents. Non-residents pay $14,174 for their distance learning masters degree in business. Duke University, a private institution, topped the price chart at $119,300 for its Global MBA. Every online business school on GetEducated's Top 47 Ranked Best Buys in Online MBAs - AACSB Accredited costs less than the national average: $32,000. Online Education Statistics: MBA Degree The number of business schools offering an online MBA continues to escalate. GetEducated's 2006 Free Guide to Online MBAs reviewed 46 business schools. The firm's 2010 directory reviews 69 AACSB-accredited programs offering 133 distance MBA degrees. "In 1989, when we began our online college reviews, no AACSB business school offered a distance MBA," says Vicky Phillips, GetEducated.com's founder. "Today, online business degrees are available from top universities." Public Universities Offer Top 10 Values in Online Education GetEducated's Top 10 Best Buys in Online MBAs all come from public institutions, ranging from Southeast Missouri State University to the University of Houston Clear Lake. "Today," says Phillips, "the best online business degree programs for affordability and quality are operated by residential business schools." One finding of the MBA reviews: many public universities charge one low rate for online degrees. A distance MBA from the University of South Dakota, for example, costs about $11,000 for all online students, regardless of residency. "$11,000 sounds like a lot," says Phillips, "but an AACSB online MBA that costs $11,000 costs $22,000 less than the national average. Potential students need to know that a top online MBA need not cost a fortune."
