MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Charles (C.T.) O'Donnell II, a graduate of Capella University, an accredited online university* that has built its reputation by providing high quality online degree programs for working adults, has been named president and CEO of the Susan P. Byrnes Health Education Center, Inc., in York, Pa. O'Donnell earned an online PhD in organization and management from Capella (http://www.capella.edu). Nearly 34,000 students are pursuing an online degree at Capella University, with 33 percent enrolled in Capella's doctoral degree programs, and 48 percent enrolled in Capella's master's degree programs.

In his new position, O'Donnell is leading the regional, national and international expansion of the Byrnes Health Education Center. "This is a young, fast-growing nonprofit with a critically important mission: to educate and inspire people of all ages to make healthy choices," said O'Donnell. "I'm applying the models, theory and practice acquired through my doctoral work at Capella—knowledge that can come through this caliber of education."

O'Donnell brings more than 25 years experience in nonprofit CEO leadership to his new position. Previously, he served as president and CEO of the Rensselaerville Institute, an international consultancy and historic center that the Wall Street Journal called the "think tank with muddy boots." Earlier, O'Donnell was president and CEO of KidsPeace National Centers, a 2,400-employee accredited nonprofit organization with 65 centers across the nation.
